About

As a young girl, Jasmine Joy innately knew her purpose on this planet was to support the biodiversity of animal species from humans to insects. She found her calling in 2011 when she learned how to humanely remove and relocate feral beehives on the North Shore of O'ahu. With all the propaganda about honeybees dying from Colony Collapse Disorder, she felt the need to start a grassroots organization encompassing conservation and education called, "Beelieve Hawaii".

Encouragement from the community influenced her to become a certified School Garden Teacher under The Kohala Center's Kū 'Āina Pā project. Jasmine later developed the Pollinator Program for elementary level students and popularized her 'āina-based curriculum by offering outreach throughout the island of O'ahu from 2017 to 2019. An auspicious swarm capture at Hanahau'oli School, in October of 2019, earned her a position there as an After School Enrichment teacher.

Jasmine went on to found Beelieve Hawaii where she weaves the wisdom of honeybees through mentorship, farm tours, and wild rescues.
