About
Sojourner Zenobia is a Chicago-based storyteller, performance artist and ritual-space holder.
Her artistic process lives at the intersection of spirituality and performance and has opened gateways for her to be received in Chicago’s underground performance scene as well as it’s healing community as a facilitator of ritual, specifically centering love and the brown body. She is the founder of Soul Journey Productions under which she works as a solo artist, director and event curator and more recently founded Breath to Bloom as a conduit for facilitating holistic meditation for individual, group and community-based clients.
Sojourner leads people to investigate the beliefs they hold about the world to reveal illusions and explore manifestations of freedom. Her solo work embraces the passage of time inherent in spaces, places, objects, gestures, sounds, movements and nature in order to fully become a vessel for whatever transmission is seeking to emerge. As a vessel, she seeks to magnetize people into a vortex of love and awakening that can lead to reflection, wholeness, connection and gratitude.
The Request
Sojourner was looking for a brand & website re-fresh that incorporated both her performance artist portfolio as well her newly launched business offerings.
The artist info flow was going to need to account for potential funders and grants she had recently applied for while the business flow needed to account for potential corporate clients.
What We Did
Getting all your 'selves' represented in one website that for better or worse represents 'you' is always a challenge and one we enjoy piecing together. Basically we encourage folks to allow that 'who' you present to the world via the internet is going to change over time, so changing up your website and language about yourself regularly is OK. As we say in our house, "we're all trees with many branches."
We gathered insights about Sojourner’s artist projects, meditation work, and branding journey and went to work on a simple Squarespace site that would incorporate all of her many identities and show them off in a professional, cohesive way.
